Thus Spake SecurityGeezer!
So I have to find something else to do with my time…
Something other than walk the dogs and wonder what’s for dinner anyway.
The summer is truly upon us at last, and the temperatures are up as high as they’re likely to get. As usual, the house will empty out for the next month or so and I’ll be left to my own devices whilst everyone else heads off to someplace cooler (well…somewhere less hot, anyway).
…and it just so happens that the general level of irritation I’ve been feeling towards certain elements of the industry is also reaching a bit of a mid-summer peak. What the hell is wrong with people..? Actually, I already know the answer to that question, but I’m not going to start on that subject right now; I’m going to just explore it, piece by piece over the course of the summer and see where it gets me. You see, the problem is that I love what I do with a passion. For whatever twisted psychotic reason, I think people hold the key to making this world a better place, and that (difficult to imagine as it might be) includes those of us who’re involved in this thing we call “the security industry”. My frustrations stem from the number of people in this business who seem to believe that’s not their responsibility.
In this blog I’m going to point at some of them and see how they like it.
Let’s see what happens.
